Beginning Pilates at Touch Point
Pilates is a physical fitness system created to tone what is known as the “powerhouse” of the human body – the upper and lower abdominals, lower back, hips, and buttocks. In addition to toned muscles, Pilates leads to participants having improved strength, posture, agility and greater flexibility.
Pilates will slowly, but surely, change your body for the better. As with any targeted physical exercise, muscle soreness will soon give way to you standing taller, sitting, walking and running with improved posture and mobility, and allowing for quicker injury recovery. These physical improvements in turn benefit the mind as well, leading to reduced stress and better sleeps at night.
